It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norma Geneva Royer, who departed from this world peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the age of 88. Norma was born on Sunday, February 28, 1937, in Fredericktown to the late Joseph and Margaret (Barton) Griffith.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Howard Kenneth Royer; son, Rodney Royer and sister, Alice Rosemary Smallen.
Norma dedicated over 20 years of her life as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her warm spirit and gentle touch brought comfort to many during their times of need, a testament to her selfless love for others. Norma was a devoted member of Silver Mines General Baptist Church. She loved playing the piano and tending to her beautiful flower garden during the summers. She also had a remarkable affinity for animals, demonstrating her nurturing heart and gentle nature in every interaction.
Norma leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter, Sherilyn Kennedy and husband Roger; sons, Michael Royer and wife Marilyn, Daniel Royer and wife Lynn; brother, Joseph Griffith and wife Carol; eight grandchildren, Sandi, Jason, Brianna, Melissa, Michael (Tony), Alicia, Austin and Adrienne; a host of great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, friends and family. Her memory will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation with the family will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son - Wilson Chapel on December 17, 2025, from 11:00 AM until service time of 1:00 PM with Pastor Brad Crocker officiating assisted by Pastor Adam Webb. Burial to follow at the Christian Cemetery in Fredericktown. Memorials in Norma’s memory can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
