William “Bill” Bowling, 84, of Fredericktown, passed away on December 27, 2025, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. Born on February 24, 1941, in Fredericktown, he was the beloved son of the late Claude E. and Melvie (Stacy) Bowling. He was an outdoor enthusiast at heart, Bill loved fishing and hunting, you could often find him out enjoying nature. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 59 years, Clare Mae (Molisee) Bowling, and two brothers, Sherman Bowling and Dewey Bowling.
Bill is survived by two children, Beverly Boswell and Ricky (Paula) Bowling; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Lester Bowling, Stanley (Pricilla) Bowling and Jean Willis. Many nieces, nephews, other family and friends also survive.
A private family remembrance will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Wilson Chapel. A private burial will be held later at Little Vine Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Wilson Chapel in Fredericktown.
