Norma Frances Kiser Samsel passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. Norma was born on February 17, 1941, in Florence, Alabama. She was a lifelong resident of Morristown, TN. Norma was a member of First United Methodist Church of Morristown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Arlon Samsel; parents, C.E. and Susie Walker Kiser; sisters, Brenda Sue Elledge and Peggy J. Gibson; and brother, Larry W. Kiser.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Arlon (Leesa) Samsel and Steven Wayne (Jana) Samsel; grandchildren, Jonmichael (Hannah), Jacob (Bailee), and Jaylynne Samsel of Morristown, and Stephanie and Nick Samsel of Elk Ridge, Maryland; great-granddaughter, Everly Ivy Samsel; great-grandson, JonLuke Wayne Samsel; birth-son, Dan Steffon of Kansas; sister, Betty L. (Curtis) Kiser Hopkins of Royal Arkansas; close friend and companion, Robert "Bob" Feezell; nieces and nephews, Martha Carter, Susan Ellis, Scott, and Tim Killian.
She graduated from Morristown High School in 1958 and attended ETSU in Johnson City, TN. She was employed for many years by Volunteer Blind Industries and by WMTN/WAZI radio stations. She retired in 1998 from Hickory Springs MFG. Company.
The Samsel family would like to extend their appreciation to the entire staff at Heritage Center Rehab Services for the love and care they provided.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, on Sunday, December 1, 2024, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7PM, with Dr. Dean Haun officiating. Entombment will be held at 11AM, Monday, December 2, 2024, in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum of Hamblen Memory Gardens.
