Norma Simpson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel - Bowling Green on Feb. 26, 2026.
Norma "Gail" Simpson, age 77, of Bowling Green, passed away on February 25, 2026 after a lengthy illness. A native of Jackson, TN, Gail was born on October 8, 1948, to the late Dorothy (Dawson) Roberts and H.G. Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Curtis Bishop.

Gail lived her life with her heart wide open-loving her children, grandchildren, family, and friends with limitless generosity. Animals were naturally drawn to her gentle spirit. Whether it was a stray in need of a meal or a beloved family pet seeking comfort, she cared for each one as though it were part of her own family.

Creative at heart, Gail found joy in sewing, ceramics, and crafting beautiful things with her hands. Her handmade dolls, gifts, and ceramic pieces will continue to warm the homes and hearts of those she loved, serving as lasting reminders of her talent and care.

She is survived by her two daughters, Gayla (Steve) McCoy and Sheri (Derek) Reidy; her three granddaughters, Haylea Hunt, Macey McCoy, and Jayme Hunt; and her siblings, Sue Roberts, Cathy Roberts, and H.G. Roberts Jr.

Gail leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith. Though she will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace, surrounded by the love of Jesus she cherished so dearly.

Her family is so thankful for the unwavering love, care, and support she received from the staff of Signature Health Care and Home Instead Senior Care of Bowling Green.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Bowling Green Gardens, next to J.C. Kirby Funeral Home on Lovers Lane.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Warren County Humane Society, honoring Gail's lifelong love for animals.
