Norma Jeane Snow was born November 13, 1932 in Muskogee to parents Lige and Evelena Snow. Norma was born into a sharecropper family that lived just south of Muskogee. She attended Hilldale, a one room school for a while, but she said they moved often, living mostly in the Muskogee, Haskell and Coweta areas. She finished high school in Haskell on May 17th 1950. While in high school she met James Jobe. After graduating, they married while he was in basic training at Fort Polk, Louisiana, she then returned home to Haskell while he finished his tour of duty. During their marriage, they had three sons, James Allen, Gary Don and Larry Wayne.

Norma worked for Weddles Grocery for three years, and retired from Safeway after many years, while also raising 3 boys. While working at Safeway she was a member of the American Business Women's Association, and was once named their Woman of the Year.

Norma married George Smith in 1979 and traveled with him on his construction jobs before settling back in Muskogee. After her husband George's death in 2004 she spent several years with family, enjoying time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. At the time at her death she was residing at Pleasant Valley Health Care in Muskogee.

She was proceeded in death by parents Lige and Evelena Snow, sister Sabra Brittenham, brother JW Snow, first husband James Jobe, husband George Smith, nephews Kenneth Snow, Bob Brittenham, Ronnie Snow, Wesley Snow, neice Earlene Stottlemyre, step sons Jerry Smith and George Smith Jr.

She is survived by her sons James and his wife Jolene Jobe of Tonasket Washington, Gary and his wife Jan Jobe of Muskogee and Wayne and his wife Tracie Jobe of Sperry. Stepchildren Marilyn Adams, Teresa and Jimmy Byfield and Penny and Jim Fulton. Grandchildren Scott, Brian, Kristie, Melissa, Lisa, Dawn, April, David, and Lori. Twenty-three great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

On January 27, 2026 Norma left this life and started a new one with her loving Savior, family and friends that had gone before her, and she will be waiting for those who find Grace in Jesus Christ.
