Norma Jean Weikle, 92, passed away on May 4, 2025, at the Lindside Healthcare Center. She was born on October 20, 1932, at Wolf Creek, WV. She was the daughter of the late Albert Burrell McClung and Mary Susan Marie Ratliff McClung. Norma was a talented seamstress who enjoyed making quilts and creating wedding gowns, prom dresses and men's suits. She also loved making fruit cakes for her friends at Christmas. She learned to play the guitar at an early age. She enjoyed singing and playing the guitar with her friends at family gatherings, church, senior citizen centers and at the Lindside Healthcare Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edgar "Bud" Weikle, an infant son, Warren Lee Weikle, five sisters, Lena Belle McClung, Virginia Bleil, Hilda Winebrimmer, Linda Wyatt and Eva June Nichols; and two brothers, Randy McClung, and Albert McClung. Survivors include two daughters, Doris McCurdy (Bryan) and Becky Sarver; five sons, Kenny Weikle, Dennis Weikle (Carole), Doug Weikle (Sheri), Delton Weikle (Chris), and Joe Weikle; four sisters, Judy Stewart, Barbara Maxwell (David), Alice Wade, and Debbie Broyles (Wayne); and two brothers, Roger McClung and Leslie McClung; grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Cully McCurdy (Pam), Keith Sarver, Amanda Wood (Tara), Larry Abrams (Sasha), Steven Weikle (Tanya), Turek Weikle, Stephanie Moore, Cole Brewer, Alex Weikle, Ethan Weikle, Scott Weikle (Brittany), and Nik Weikle; and 14 great grandchildren and step grandchildren. According to her wishes, Norma will be cremated, and no formal services will be held. A private family service will be held at a later date.
