Norma Jean Williams, 61, of Elm City passed away Monday, May 27, 2024. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2024, in Williams Barnes Cemetery, Wiggins Mill Road, Wilson. Pastor Lee Britt will officiate.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening, June 1, 2024, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Norma is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Lee and husband, Luther of Elm City, and Melissa Phillips and husband, Michael of Wilson; granddaughters, Sarabeth Lee, Kieara Brown, Theresa Lee, and Olivia Amerson; grandsons, Timothy Brown, Christopher Phillips, and Benjamin Bullock; great-grandchild, Paisley Phillips; sisters, Linda Thorne, Marie Boyette, Katie Joyner, and Judy Poythress, and her brother, Charlie Williams.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Amerson; parents, Roscoe and Essie Williams; sister, Brenda O’Neal and her brother-in-law, Donald Thorne.
