Norma Winebarger Obituary

Norma Loggins Winebarger "Pat" entered the more immediate presence of her savior on January 31, 2026. Pat was born December 15, 1936 to the late Dempsey McGee Loggins and Natalie Renegar Loggins in Winston-Salem, N.C.
She was a graduate of Mineral Springs High School. Pat married the love of her life, Carl Eugene Winebarger "Gene" on June 10, 1958. They both worked at the Winston-Salem Journal and Sentinel for a few years until other opportunities took them to Virginia Beach, Va. They returned to Forsyth County in 1975. Pat retired from the North Carolina School of the Arts. In her younger years she loved playing golf. She also enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family-especially her sisters.
Pat is preceded in death by her husband Gene; her brothers, Dempsey Loggins, Jr., William Loggins "Bill"; and her sisters, Eva Ledbetter, Madge Warren, and Mescal Williams "Pete." She is survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 10th at 2 p.m., at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service in Kernersville. Burial will be private.
