Normalee Lockhart, 97, of Middletown passed away on Monday August 11, 2025, at St. Vincent Anderson. She was born on March 22, 1928, in Deedsville, IN to the late Ross and Inez (Karns) Robins.
She was a 1947 graduate of Deedsville High School. Normalee was a proud supporter of the Shenandoah Band Boosters and active helping out with Little League. She was one of the original organizers of the Middletown Fall Fun Fest. Normalee kept a strict and tidy house where she enjoyed gardening, mowing her yard up until she became unable to into her 90's and watching her hummingbirds. She was an independent woman whom made it her goal to live in her own home until she passed. Normalee was also a long-time member of the Middletown Community Church.
Normalee is survived by her children, Janet (Kenny) Shepherd, Kevin (Patty) Lockhart and Brian (Penny) Lockhart; grandchildren, Jayne (Kenny) Credeur, Greg (Amy) Shepherd, Lori (Keith) Pritchett, Aren Lockhart, Mandy (Mark) Manship, Stephanie (Aaron) Goodson, Kayla (Peter) Woodward and Shelby Lockhart; great grandchildren, Kip, Kody, Kevin, Hillery, Holly, Jalyn, Elliot, Kendal, Kody, Kyle, Wyatt, Evelyn, Brenden, Elijah, Owen, Asher, Bohdi and Ellis; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Normalee is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lockhart; granddaughter, Brittany Lockhart; sister, Vivian Wales and brother, Leon Robins.
Services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday August 15, 2025 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown with burial to follow at Miller Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Middletown EMS.
