Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home - Enosburg FallsFAIRFIELD - Norman J. Breton, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at his home in Fairfield.
He was born in Kedgwick, New Brunswick, Canada on April 24, 1936, to the late Hector & Blanche (Chasse) Breton. Norman grew up surrounded by the beauty of nature, which would later influence his lifelong love for the outdoors and hard work.
On May 10, 1958, he married the love of his life, Barbara Breton, and together they built a life filled with laughter, love, and resilience. Throughout his journey, Norman embraced various roles, working as a lumberjack, truck driver, and carpenter. His dedication to his craft was only eclipsed by his love for his family and his unwavering support for those around him. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Breton; children, Norman Jr. & Debra Breton, Anthony & Kelly Breton, Mark & Lynne Breton, Donald & Katherine Breton, and Richard & Dorothy Breton; grandchildren, Nicholas, Amber, Justin, Nina, Matthew, Crystal, Gregory, Amy, Sarah, and Michael; great grandchildren, Madeline, William, Charlotte, Malachi, Donovan, Danika, Dacey, Carsen, Alyssa, Victoria, Jillian, Ellighna, and Alek; siblings, William, Rene, and Ginette; siblings-in-law, Hazel Reed, Linda Berry, and David Talcott and his wife Jeannine; and many nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, Norman was predeceased by his grandson, Jeremy; siblings, Andre, Yvonne, Yolanda, Joseph, Bertin, and Francis; and sisters-in-law, Bernice Hutchins, Joyce Austin, and Sandra Austin.
