Norman Real Collin, a longtime resident of Westwood, Massachusetts died Monday, December 15, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was 91 years old. Norman was born to Henri and Clara Collin of Saint Hilaire, New Brunswick, Canada. He was the third born of fourteen children. Norman worked as a bus driver for Greyhound for 29 years before retiring in 1989. He was well respected and earned many awards along the way. He was immensely proud of his safety record and loved his job. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and later in life, golf and bowling in a league with friends. He valued donating to many different charity organizations and cherished giving his money to those in need.
Norman is survived by his three daughters, Ginette Violette and husband Richard of Bristol, CT, Carol Piso of Franklin, MA, and Cynthia Gadbois and husband Thomas of North Billerica, MA; and his two step-daughters, Cheryl Mills and husband Brandon of Hilton Head, SC, and Laurie Timmerman and husband Matthew of Westwood, MA; as well as Norman's longtime girlfriend, Eileen "Bonnie" Callanen. Norman is also survived by his five siblings, Albertine Pierce, Renaud Collin and wife Corinne, Gilles Collin and wife Clare, Venise Michaud and husband Raymond, and Bertrand Collin and wife Rachel, all originally of Canada; as well as his beloved grandchildren, Jayson, Ryan, Jamie, Angela, Isabella, Collin, Meaghan, Shane, Riley, and Kathleen; and great grandchildren, Thomas, Henri, and Hazel.
Norman was predeceased by his beloved wife of 12 years, Kathleen Collin and his grandson Daniel Harriman, as well as his siblings, Lucien, Adrien, Cecile, Rina, Ronald, Marthe, Real, and Gertrude.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project and/or St. Jude’s's Children's Research Hospital in Norman's name would be appreciated. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 5 - 7 pm at Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High Street, Westwood, MA, 02090. Interment will be private.
