Germano and his wife, Jeannie, of Marshfield and Michael F. Germano and his wife, Edie of Haverhill. Proud grandfather of Jaclyn McDonald and her husband, Justin, Jennifer Gold and her husband, Ryan, Julia Germano and her life partner, Don Curtin, Justina Germano, Edward, Michael, Harry and Anna Germano and Maria Forlizzi. Great-grandfather of Ava, Gianna, Gabriella, Carmella and James. Brother of the late John Germano. Visiting Hours on Sunday, 2 to 5 pm, at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High St., WESTWOOD. Friends are invited to Edward's Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, March 9, at 10:30 am, at St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St., Westwood. Please meet directly at church. Eddie,
so sorry to hear about your dad. He was a great guy, we had a lot of laughs going to the Bruins games back in the day. He lived a great life and made a lot of people smile. Sorry I can't be there.

He would not remember me, but one of my wishes as a high school athlete was to be included in the Brockton Enterprise's "Stars of the Week" that would include a small group of chosen local athletes with their name, sport, and school surrounding cartoon sports figures drawn by Mr. Germano. I missed out my junior hockey season when a teammate was falsely credited with a big goal I scored. He garnered the weekly distinction and I was so disappointed. But senior year I had a nice game and got it! I was so proud. That was back in 1980 and remains one of the most cherished keepsakes in my scrapbook. I told this story to his daughter, Ann Marie, in a newsroom back in the late 1990s when I was a sports reporter. A person may never realize how he affects another, even with such a seemingly small thing. I'm so glad he lived such a long life and was able to enjoy grandchildren and great-grandchildren!
