93 ,of St. Petersburg Fl. ,formally of Hingham ,Ma. Norm was born in Boston on June 7 1924, the son of George and Marie Graf. He lived in Newton Upper Falls before moving with his family to Westwood Ma. Norm graduated from Westwood high in 1942. After graduation Norm joined the Navy and served in the Pacific during WW2. Before being discharged ,Norm attended William Jewell College in Liberty Mo. It was during this time that Norm met his future wife Dorothy ,who was attending a nearby college , Missouri Valley. After marring the couple first lived in Quincy and Hanover ,Ma ,before settling in Hingham. Norm was a technical illustrator and had his own company on Causway St. in Boston for many years. Norm would eventually merge his company with another Boston company forming one of the largest technical illustrating firms in Boston ( Purnell & Graf Co. ). After many years at the firm Norm left to again go out on his own ,this time with an office in the former Hingham shipyard ,and later out of the family home on High St. Norm was a dedicated family man ,who always put family first ,and loved his children and grandchildren unconditionally. Among his other interests were gardening ,projects around the house ,sailing ,boating , exploring New England ,and painting. He was a wealth of knowledge on many subjects ,and loved sharing that knowledge. He coached his sons in youth hockey ,and enjoyed watching all his kids play on sports teams and other school activities. Norm was the husband of the late Dorothy " Willey " Graf. Father of the late Kathy Johnson ( husband Russell ) of Northfield ,Nj. His is survived by his four adoring children ; Nancy Wolff and husband John ,of Marshfield, Ma , Norman ' Max ' Graf and his wife Kathy ,also of Marshfield. Thomas Graf ,and his wife Jean of Hanover. Warren Graf ,and his wife Clare ,of Summerville ,SC. Also survived by his loving life partner , Nancy Swanick , of St. Petersburg FL. Norn is survived by seven grandchildren ,and six great grandchildren. Norm requested that his ashes be spread next to his beloved daughter Kathy Johnson ,at Worlds End , Hingham ,and Wasque beach Chappaquiddick ,Martha's Vineyard, Ma.
