Norman Roy Lee, 81, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
Born on March 22, 1944, in New Albany, Norman was the son of Otis, Sr. and Lorene (Banet) Lee. He carried a sentimental spirit throughout his life, proudly managing the family farm where he found joy working on the tractor alongside his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His love for nature extended to his hobbies, as he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Norman's career began with his employment at Bush Trucking, later moving to work at General Electric in Louisville, where he eventually retired. His time in these roles was marked by hard work and dedication, qualities that he passed down to his family. Norman had a deep appreciation for music, particularly Bluegrass, and liked having a good conversation over an occasional Early Times with Coke.
Norman is survived by his children: Paul Lee (Rachael & Donna), Tony Lee, Cheryl Royalty (Alan), and Charlene Lewis (Chad). He was a proud grandfather to Jamie Rawlings (Steven), Heather Stonecipher (Ernest), William Simler (Amber), Ashley Parsons (Jon), Allison Lewis (Ethan), Cody Lewis (Morgan), Dairian Proctor (Donavan), Justin Lee (Whitney), Marshal Lee, and Kyler Lee, as well as a cherished great-grandfather to 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Suzanne Minton; sister-in-law, Betty Lee; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Roberta (Minton) Lee, and siblings Otis Lee, Jr., Emma Jean Huber, and Ruth Arnold.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, located at 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany. His funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m., with burial following at Edwardsville-Tunnel Hill Cemetery.
