Norman Lyle Manning passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater after a brief illness. He was 84. Cremation services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.

Norman was born December 9, 1939, in Sargent, Nebraska to Ralph Edward and Mildred Eora (Sevier) Manning. He graduated from Anselmo, Nebraska in 1958. He married Ruby Breazzeal on June 22, 2002, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He was a mechanic by trade and loved tinkering on lawn mowers and enjoyed going to the casino and watching football.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Ruby of the home; six children, Pam Cox of Salina, Kansas, Blake Manning of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Troy Manning(Cindy) of Glencoe, Oklahoma, Tammy Petermann (Ken) of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Joey Thomason of Pell City, Alabama, and Jimmy Thomason and Sarah of Pell City, Alabama; grandchildren, Ronnie Meyer(Todd), Parrie Cox(Dalton Perez), Payden Cox, Zane Cox, Marissa Swink(Rodney), Kaitlyn Manning, Troy Don Manning II, Alicia Todd, Cassie Garringer(Tristan), Wyatt Manning(Kaylee), Kendra Petermann, Dana Thomason, Buddy Thomason, Billy Thomason, and Jamey Thomason; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Sherry Manning, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Elwood, Bob, and Gary; two daughters Donna White and Lou Boyanton; one granddaughter, Sherri Manning; and Daughter in law, Kate Manning.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 11am to 3pm at the CREC Community Building at 3305 S. Boomer Road, Stillwater, Oklahoma 74074.
