Bulls Gap: Norman "Norm" "Mr. Wonderful" Barry Simano, age 82, of Bulls Gap, went home to be with Jesus, Thursday, August 22, 2024. He was born January 28, 1942 to the late Harry Proctor Simano and Jennie Smart Simano Piper in Chester, New Hampshire. Norm was a faithful member of Robertson Creek Baptist Church until his health failed him. He loved working on tractor, bull dozer anything with four wheels and creating stained glass. Norm retired from Imery's in Greeneville, TN. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Boeske; sister, Betty Collins; sister-in-law, Gail Simano; brother-in-law, Roger Rutherford.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 30 years, Della Pruitt Simano of the home; son, Norman Barry "Normie" Simano of Chester, NH; daughters, Roxanne Phillips of FL, April Pruitt Gladson and Heiskell "Peanut" of Bulls Gap; seven grandchildren, Jimmie Phillips, Zack Boeske, Nathan Boeske, Kirsten Simano, Tasha Spellman, Jacob Reed and Jesse Gladson; great-grandchildren, Emery, Michael, Halie, Emma Jean, Colton, Carmyn, Cora and Bennett; brother, Harry Simano of NH; brother-in-law, Larry Collins of Bulls Gap; sister, Leslie Kaufman of SC; sister-in-law, Kathy Rutherford of NC; brother-in-law, Clinton Rutherford and wife, Jackie of Rogersville; several nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to his nurse, Sarah and all of Amedysis Hospice; Lilly of SCSC.
The family will receive friends 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Robertson Creek Baptist Church.
Memorial service will be 5:00 P.M., Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Robertson Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Farmer officiating. Music will be sung by Chuck Eldridge.
