Norman Alton Weaver Jr., born on May 31, 1948, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, left this world on August 7, 2025, in La Porte. He was a man whose presence lit up the lives of those around him, and his departure has left an immense void in the hearts of many.

Norman dedicated many years of his life to his career as a truck driver for Alpha Baking, where his work ethic and commitment were deeply respected. Beyond his profession, he was greatly loved by family and friends alike for his infectious humor and his ability to make people laugh. His personality was one of warmth and kindness, always bringing joy to those fortunate enough to know him.

In his free time, Norman found pleasure in a range of hobbies. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, relishing the tranquility of the outdoors. His adventurous spirit extended to traveling and enjoying horseback riding, activities that filled his life with memorable experiences and cherished moments.

Norman is survived by his beloved mother, Greta Jervis; daughter, Johana Jervis, and his brothers, Tom (Susanne) Jervis, John (Susan) Jervis, Jack Jervis, and Gary Weaver. His legacy carries on through his grandson's, Alexander Jervis and Timothy Jervis; and many great-grandchildren; alongside numerous nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly. He also leaves behind his companion of 15 years, Marsha Blaze, who shared many happy moments with him.

Norman was preceded in death by his father, Norman Weaver; son Timothy A. Jervis, and his siblings Harry Jervis, Michael Jervis, and Mona Jervis.

He will be greatly missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. The family has chosen cremation.
