Normand Fraser Obituary

Visit the Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory website to view the full obituary.

Normand Fraser, 82, passed away on March 24, 2026, at his home in Candia, NH where he lived almost his whole life, and was surrounded by his loving family after fighting a courageous battle with dementia.

Normand was born on January 2, 1944, in Manchester, NH to the late Alcide and Annette (Levasseur) Fraser. He was a graduate of Saint Marie High School-Class of 1962 and went on to serve his country in the US Navy Seabees. He later obtained his bachelor’s degree in business at NH College (SNHU). He was employed at Sanders Associates, later BAE systems for nearly 40 years, retiring in April 2011.

He was a Scoutmaster, baseball coach and die-hard New York Yankees fan. Some of his favorite memories were spent with his wife to Barbados, Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Bermuda and Aruba, along with several trips to Disney, Virginia Beach and Niagara Falls and many camping adventures with his family. He served on the Parish Council and was an active member of his parish community.

Above all, Normand was a son of God with an intense faith and passion for serving others, he led with strong character and integrity and always showed up for the ones he held dearest. He was a devoted husband for 58 years, an amazing father, and a doting grandfather. He rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his family at any sporting event they participated in and was often the first one sitting in the bleachers with his camera ready to capture all the highlights.

Normand is survived by his wife Jeannine (Therrien), of 58 years, daughter Michelle Baron (Gerry) of Merrimack, NH, son Kevin Fraser (Michelle) of Candia, NH, and foster son Hung Trung (Cuc) of Manchester, NH. Five grandchildren; Griffin (Emily) Michael, Emily, Avery, Bryan. He is also survived by brother-in-law Tim Lanini, sister-in-law Joanne Fraser and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Normand was predeceased by his parents, brothers Roger Fraser (wife Anita), Raymond Fraser, Jean (John) Fraser, sisters Beatrice Mellor (husband Robert), Therese (Terry) Lanini.

Calling hours will be held at St. Pius X Church, Candia Rd, Manchester, NH on Friday, April 10th at 10am-immediately followed by a Mass at 11am. A Christian Burial will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
