MOUNTAIN HOME - Norris Ray Dacus, 90, died on Sept. 7, 2025, at his residence in Mountain Home. Ray was born in Lorado, to Vernon A. and Doris Mae Burton Dacus on July 1, 1935. He retired from General Electric Company. Ray was very proud of his service in the United States Army. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Ray will be missed by his brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, stepchildren, friends, and family.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Peggy Andrews Dacus; his second wife, Joane Baldridge; and his brother, Jerry Dacus.
Left to mourn his passing are his brother, Roy (Debbie) Dacus; sisters, Doris Burdyshaw and Betty Mitchell; nieces and nephews, Dana(Don) Kennedy, Christie (Craig) Cook, Shawn (Heidi) Dacus, Steven Mitchell, Julie(Michael)Prince; Joane's children, Dianne (Dean) Petty and David Baldridge; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Lorado Cemetery under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge. Randy Britton officiated.
