Norville Clark Hanke

NORVILLE CLARK HANKE
Born on October 23, 1938 in Oakland, California, and went to Heaven on September 16, 2025 from Redding, California.

Norville Hanke is survived by his wife Dellia (Dee), They were married for 67 years. He is survived by his children, Norville Hanke, Jr. of Gustine, California, Cindy Stinson of Red Bluff, California, Julie (Athan)Carabello of Modesto, California. He is also survived by his sister, Aline Cormier, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters Lynne Smith and Bettie Deppner.

Norville Hanke was a Caltrans supervisor for 38 years. He was a volunteer firefighter for over 30 years and served on many wildfires, including the Carr fire.

Norville Hanke was saved in 1973. He was driving down the highway in a Caltrans truck when he pulled over and settled his salvation by accepting Jesus Christ as his Saviour. He enjoyed driving for the Freedom Song choir tour, and serving others. He
helped maintain buses for North Valley Baptist Church as well as working for many years to keep the Shasta Baptist Church buses repaired, maintained and on the road. Norville Hanke has been a member of Shasta Baptist Church since 2007. He and his wife have volunteered at the church school for many years.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in his honor be made to Shasta Baptist School or Shasta Baptist Church bus maintenance.
