Nutty G Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by F.L. Sims Funeral Home - Smyrna Chapel on Apr. 15, 2025.
Earl McKenney, beloved son, brother, partner, and friend, passed away in Atlanta, GA, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and craftsmanship that will never be forgotten. Born on August 16, 1980, in Detroit, Michigan, Earl was the heart of every room he entered-equal parts humor, wisdom, and unwavering support.
Earl's circle of love extended far and wide, touching countless lives with his vibrant energy and selfless spirit.
A true son of Detroit, Earl wore his pride boldly-always repping the Detroit Lions, his favorite fitted hats, and a deep-rooted love for his hometown. Though he called Atlanta home, his heart never left the Motor City.
Earl was a man of many passions. He loved art, music, construction, and weed-but above all, he loved his family. Known as the handyman of the clan, there wasn't a thing Earl couldn't fix. From remodeling homes to tackling maintenance jobs, he poured his heart and hustle into every project, always striving for the next goal with a calculated mind and a fearless drive.
Earl's joy was infectious. He was hilarious-always quick with a joke-but beneath that humor was a thoughtful, philosophical soul who shared wise words and positivity with everyone around him. Whether you needed a laugh, a hand, or a little advice, Earl was there.
He lived life with curiosity, creativity, and courage, always chasing something new, always building-whether it was a home, a moment, or a dream.
Earl McKenney was deeply loved, and he will be missed more than words can say. His spirit lives on in the memories we share, the lessons he taught us, and the love he gave so freely.
The son of Jerome (deceased) and Marcella McKenney, Earl was the glue of a large and loving family. He is survived by his devoted mother, Marcella; his sisters Tina (Roger) Cantrell, Nicole (Greg) Tellis, Octavia(Sean)Adams; his brothers Micheal McKenney and Brandon(Tiffany) Mason; his beloved girlfriend, Courtney Washington and a host of aunties, uncle's, cousins, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Rest easy, Earl. Thank you for everything.
