Wesley Michael DeShields

August 15, 1960 – February 13, 2026

Wesley Michael DeShields, age 65, passed away on February 13, 2026. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and a man whose life was defined by hard work, presence, and unwavering love for his family.

Wesley is survived by his two sons, Ryan Wesley DeShields and Eric David DeShields. His eldest son, Ryan, and his wife Jacqueline DeShields, blessed him with grandchildren Maya DeShields, Ryan Wesley DeShields Jr. Leighana Barbieri and Dante Barbieri. His youngest son, Eric, and his wife Militza DeShields, blessed him with grandchildren Xavier DeShields, Xander DeShields and Carlos Molina Jr. He is also survived by his brother, Dennis DeShields.

Wesley is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Gloria DeShields, whom he is now reunited with.

Wesley was both an accountant and an electrician, a testament to his strong work ethic, versatility, and lifelong commitment to providing for his family. He worked hard his entire life and believed deeply in showing up, staying consistent, and being present for his children and grandchildren.

Known affectionately as "Wink" and "Oscar the Grouch," Wesley had a tough exterior and a sharp edge. Though he could be a little gruff, those who knew him best understood that beneath it all was a loving, loyal man who cared deeply and showed his love through actions more than words.

A die-hard San Francisco 49ers fan, Wesley loved football and rarely missed a game. It was one of the many ways he connected with family and found joy.

Above all, Wesley will be remembered as a man who was always there steady, dependable, and unmistakably himself. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and the values he instilled in them.

In accordance with Wesley's wishes, there will be no memorial or funeral service.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered
