Linda DeShields Obituary
She is survived by her children, Troy DeShields (Kathy), John DeShields (Tammy); grandchildren, Tyler DeShields (Leah), Skyler DeShields (Courtney), Gabby Seay (Austin), Camdyn DeShields and Grayson DeShields; great grandchildren, Emersyn and Elsie Seay, Magnolia DeShields, and Layton DeShields; and sisters, Sylvia Vassey and Nancy Greer.
Linda retired from Leigh Fibers and was a faithful member of North Spartanburg Baptist Church. She especially enjoyed spending time with her small church group and cherished the fellowship it brought to her. In leisure time, Linda found great joy in reading novels by the lake, shag dancing and sitting by the beach listening to beach music. She will be lovingly remembered for her warm smile, her love for conversation, deep devotion to Jesus and her unwavering love for her family.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Living Waters Funeral Home & Crematory; 529 Spartanburg Hwy S. Lyman, SC 29365; with a Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow at Nazareth Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Linda and I went to high school together and graduated together. She had a great personally and was well liked by everyone. I had not seen her in over 50+ years until she started going to First North. Every few months we would talk after preaching about someone or something going on in Blacksburg. I would tell her about fishing in the lakes behind her house when Mr. Kirby owned them. So sorry for your lost. Leon Batchler
