Donald Dean DeShields

Donald Dean DeShields 78 of Garfield, passed away in his home on November 30, 2025. He was born on September 28, 1947, in Lead Hill, Arkansas the son of Virgil and Allene Trimble DeShields. Donald was hard-working and by trade was a truck driver. His love for driving and being around heavy equipment led him to starting up his own service truck then adding semi wreckers. The business was known all around by "D & D Tire and Wrecker Service". Donald always worked hard and provided for his family.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and in his later years going on trips and adventures with his wife. He was a member of Eastside Assembly of God Church in Bentonville where he enjoyed serving the Lord by dedicating his time towards assisting the Church however he could. He had a passion for telling others about how the Lord changed his life and wanted them to know how to receive that same eternal gift.
He is survived by his wife Mary Oliver DeShields, five sons Keith DeShields and wife Brenda, Bryan DeShields and wife Nancy, Greg Deshields and wife Lisha, Donnie Ray Hall, Michael Dean Hall and wife Shelly, his siblings, Sherry Pike and husband David, Ronald DeShields and wife Becky, 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Eastside Assembly of God Church and funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert Ward officiating.
