Odin Lee Upton, age 6, of Gentry, Arkansas passed away Friday, August 8, 2025.
From the moment he arrived on June 18, 2019, Odin filled every day with boundless energy, mischievous grins, and a heart that loved big. He was happiest with dirt under his fingernails, a tool in his hand, and a project to “fix” - whether it was real or simply imagined. His love for the outdoors was endless, and he could often be found exploring, tinkering, or dreaming up his next big adventure. He was a devoted big brother to his four siblings, he cared for them with a tenderness and joy that touched everyone around him. He thought of everyone as his heart.
Odin had big plans for his future- he proudly told everyone he was going to be a professional gamer, and in the meantime, he sharpened his skills with his favorite, Sonic the Hedgehog. His quick wit and playful “ornery” charm made him impossible not to love, and his laughter could light up even the dullest day. He was truly full of love.
He leaves behind his loving Parents, Tyler and Nicole Upton of Gentry, Arkansas; Maternal Grandparents, Bobbi Sheppard and Nate Hansen of Flint Ridge, Oklahoma, Paternal Grandparents, Christal and William Upton of Gentry, Arkansas; Paternal Great Grandmother, Dorothy Gallagher of Rogers, Arkansas; 3 Brothers, Emmitt Upton, Charlie Upton, and Rip Upton; 1 Sister, Hazel Upton; and a host of family and friends who will forever cherish the joy he brought into their lives.
The funeral service for Odin will be held 2:00PM on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Victory Baptist Church located at 1120 E. Main St., Gentry, AR 72734. In honor of his bright spirit, the family encourages everyone to wear yellow. Burial will follow at Gentry Cemetery in Gentry, Arkansas. Chaplain Larry Hendren will officiate the service.
