She embarked on her journey of life with an unquenchable spirit, flowering beautifully until her peaceful departure on October 15, 2025, in Laveen, Arizona, surrounded by the warmth of her cherished family.
Ofelia was a woman of remarkable creativity, known for her exceptional talents in gardening, crafting, sewing, cooking, and decorating. Her green thumb was not merely a skill but a proud accomplishment that brought joy and beauty to her surroundings, transforming the landscape with vivid colors and fragrant blooms. The melodies of Christian music resonated deeply within her soul, a testament to her faith and the comfort it brought her throughout her life.
She found solace and happiness in the simple pleasures of life, reveling in her passions that made every day a celebration. Living in Laveen, Arizona, Ofelia embraced her community with open arms, sharing her talents and joy with all those fortunate enough to know her.
Ofelia leaves behind a legacy richly woven through the lives of her children: Jose Diaz, Felipe Diaz, and Jesus Diaz, as well as her grandchildren, whose lives she filled with love and laughter—Joey Diaz, Gina Diaz, Erica Landeros, Jimmy Diaz, and Veronica Diaz. Each of them carries forward the spirit of creativity and warmth that she embodied.
She remembers fondly her beloved mother, Juana Alvarado Flores, and her father, Jesus Vasquez Amezcua, who predeceased her. Their influence and love shaped Ofelia into the extraordinary woman she became, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.
In remembrance of Ofelia, two significant services will be held. Friends and family are invited to honor her life during the viewing on October 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Avenidas Funeral Chapel in Avondale, Arizona.
