Ofelia Waruszewski (nee: Tabarez) was born on September 23, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan and died on November 27, 2021 at Beaumont Hospital Trenton at the age of 66; she was of Brownstown Twp. Beloved wife of 15 years to Dan. Cherished sister of Raquel (Jim) Batronie, Arturo (Sharon) Tabarez, the late Sylvia Saenz and to her husband Mundo Saenz, Lydia (Gary) Janice and Jose (April) Tabarez. Dearest and proud Godmother of David Saenz, Kevin Tabarez, Christopher Janice and Lila Tabarez. Also survived by her nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Lottie (nee: Bora) Tabarez. Early in Ofelia's life she loved to travel; she was very creative and enjoyed doing computer design projects. Ofelia also loved to get her hair and nails done, photography, flowers and being outdoors.
Memorial contributions to honor her life may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the National Kidney Foundation. Visitation is on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 3 pm to 8 pm with a Rosary Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 5 pm all at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton. Ofelia will lie in state at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Trenton on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 10 am until the Funeral Liturgy which will begin at 10:30 am. Interment Our Lady of Hope Cemetery in Brownstown Twp., Michigan
