Olive Moralez Obituary

Olive Louise Moralez, age 68, of Indianapolis began her heavenly life on January 27, 2026. She was born on July 3, 1957 in Saul, Kentucky to the late Dudley and Ida Baker Estep. She was the youngest of 21 children, a fact that she carried with unmistakable pride everyday of her life. She affectionately nicknamed them as “Estep 21” and even had a custom license plate and tattoo for the world to see. She spent her childhood in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky with her family. She loved her mother immensely and cherished the memories she had of her, but she was a proud Daddy’s girl. He nicknamed her “Cocky Soddy”, a name she would not want shared but would fondly remember. Louise and Clyde Gaskins welcomed her only baby boy, Doug Gaskins, in 1975. There is a special bond between a mother and son and that was visible anytime they were together. Louise then moved to Indiana to be closer to some of her siblings. She remarried to Larry McDaniel and they welcomed their only daughter, Becky Sprinkle in 1981. She shares her mother's pride in also being the baby of the family and together they were an unstoppable stubborn force.

In the spring of 1995 Louise met the undeniable love of her life, Tomas Moralez. They married on July 24, 2004; he survives. Tomas has two daughters: Misty and Lacy. Together Louise and Tomas blended two families into one with an abundance of love. Tomas and Louise loved traveling to Florida together and camping with their family. She found joy in decorating their campsites and would use so many hanging lights that Tomas would often tell her she lit up the whole campground. Louise was a light herself. As she became ill, she refused to be dimmed. She was tiny but so mighty. Louise loved fiercely and without boundaries. She was an animal lover and adored her dog, Mina. Louise was undoubtedly the most giving person people have ever met and expected nothing in return. Time spent with Louise was time filled with laughter and joy. She vehemently loved UK Wildcats and the Pittsburgh Steelers. But her world truly revolved around her grandchildren. Nothing will ever compare to the love from their Mamaw.

Louise was a warehouse worker for Geodis for several years. Her co-workers were family, especially her work daughter, Jasmine Templeton. Jasmine and Cheryl Cash ensured that Louise was always taken care of and had what she needed while working.

As Louise entered her heavenly life she was met by loved ones she had missed terribly. Parents, Dudley and Ida Estep. Sister Annie Couch. Brother Bailey Estep. Nephew Tommie Barger. Mother and Father-in-law, Noe and Tomasa Moralez along with so many others along the way.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 7, 2026, at 2 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Burial will take place in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.

Survivors include her husband, Tomas Moralez. Children: Doug Gaskins (Kelly), Becky Sprinkle (Matt). Stepdaughters: Misty Moralez and Lacy Moralez. Grandchildren: Haleigh, Maighan, Liam Gaskins, Katy Brown (Dylan), Brayden Ousley (Zariah), Maycie Ousley (Josh) and Bryce Sprinkle. Step-grandchildren: Alexis, Shay, Elijah and Isaiah Moralez. Siblings: Lula, Monroe, Kathleen, Joe, Jimmy, Bob, and Etta.
