Oliver Wayne Bond, 5 months old, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at his home in Bogalusa, Louisiana. He was born on December 17, 2024, in Bogalusa to Joseph Wayne Bond and Kerstain Nichole Shughart.
Oliver, affectionately known as "Ollie," is survived by his loving parents, Joseph Wayne Bond and Kerstain Nichole Shughart; his big sister, Tillie Pearl Bond; his grandparents, Scott Bond, Kathy Bond, Trina Shughart, Ward Shughart, Susan Shughart, Roy Verden, Dot Verden and many other cherished family members and friends who loved him deeply.
Ollie was known for his contagious smile and a laugh that could brighten even the darkest day. He was a joyful, bubbly baby who loved to be held and showered with kisses. He found comfort in cuddling close, just like his favorite teddy bear, and he lit up every room he entered with his presence.
He especially loved watching his big sister play and being surrounded by the people who loved him most. Ollie had a playful spirit - he would jump and kick like he was in his own little rodeo, always full of life and movement. Mealtime was one of his favorite times of the day, and he never passed up a chance to eat.
Every day with Ollie was a gift. as he grew, he learned new things, and each moment was a new adventure. There wasn't just one favorite day, every day was our favorite with him.
Though his time on earth was short, Ollie touched countless hearts with his joy, his laughter, and the love he gave so freely.
Funeral services will be held at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home (216 Alabama Avenue, Bogalusa, LA 70427) on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Burial will be private. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Saturday at the funeral home.
