Rev. Oliver Duvernay and I were classmates at Warren Easton High School and Dillard University. We sung in the Dillard University choir together. He was always a gentleman with a kind spirit and great Preaching and Singing ability. Serious, articulate but could give you a big smile. He will be missed. I pray for the Duvernay and King families. To his sisters , brother, children, cousins and all of his family May God continue to comfort your souls and remember that we all who love Jesus and love his appearance we will see our friend and brother again! Rest Rev. Oliver until we meet again in that heavenly choir!

Oliver and I were a part of the Dillard University Concert choir and were also friends. He had a smile that would always light up the room and was always trying to make people laugh!! That laugh of his was infectious! As I think on him I will always remember that. I am so glad that he led many to the LORD and used his gift to glorify the LORD.
