David worked as a welder for over 20 years at Wabash National in Lafayette.
David served in the United States Navy for four years.
David was a member of the National Riffle Association.
He enjoyed collecting trains, fishing, his cats "Tigey and Jake" and riding motorcycles. He also liked looking through his telescope and gazing at the stars.
He is survived by his son, Scott (Meghan) McKisson of Newberry; sisters, Patti Lynn (Daniel) Axe of Dugger, Judith Rose (Jeff) Laughlin of Linton; and grandchildren, Drake and Claire McKisson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother; James "Mack" L. McKisson, Jr.
Private services will be held on Friday.
