Oliver "Ollie" Clifford Reighn Jr., 84, of Meridian, was welcomed into the presence of Jesus, surrounded by his adoring family, on November 14, 2025, following a short, courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia. His faith is now sight.

Born on February 17, 1941, in Memphis, Tennessee, Ollie was the son of Oliver and Alberta Reighn. He spent most of his childhood in upstate New York, where he developed a love for sports and working on cars, as well as the two passions that stayed with him his entire life-hunting and fishing. After graduating from Fayetteville–Manlius High School, he headed west in search of more fertile hunting grounds and faster-running rivers. Between stalking wild game and casting a fly line, Ollie earned his Bachelor of Science in wildlife management from Utah State University. He then joined the United States Air Force as a Communications Officer.

In 1965, just before leaving for Vietnam, he married the love of his life-his trophy catch-Marcia. He later completed a Master of Science in management from the University of Arkansas and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 22 years of dedicated military service. Following his Air Force career, Ollie continued to serve his community as the Director of Communications and Emergency Services for El Dorado County, California, retiring once more after thirteen years.

Ollie was known for his kind smile, the twinkle in his eyes, and his deep love for his family. He leaves a legacy of integrity and loyalty that will be cherished for generations.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Marcia. The two recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family bowling tournament, where Ollie bowled every frame. Their children survive him: De (John) Turnage, Dan Reighn, Chris Reighn, and Liz Struckmeyer.

Ollie was immensely proud of his six grandchildren, each of whom he believed "hung a piece of the moon": Adelaide (Zack) Ozuna, Jack (Parker) Turnage, Claire Reighn, Isaac Turnage, Katelynn Struckmeyer, and Madison Struckmeyer. Additionally, Ollie is survived by his siblings: Sue Slater, John Reighn, and Julie Daly, all of upstate New York.

Ollie's warmth and unwavering love will be deeply missed.

The family will have a celebration of life in the spring to be announced at a later date.

Ollie was a member of the Meridian First Baptist Church, and the family requests that any memorial contributions be made to:
