Oliver Coy Turner

May 17, 1937 - March 15, 2026

Oliver Coy Turner, 88, of Greensboro, N.C., passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026. He was the son of the late Herbert and Eva (Davis) Turner, and husband of the late Brenda Turner. He is survived by his children, Michael Turner, Barbara Graves, and Amy Hardin (Phil); his 12 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and siblings William Turner and Mary Pollard.

Born in Crossville, Tennessee, Oliver was known for his incredible work ethic and his keen eye for history. He dedicated 36 years of service to the Terminal Freight Handling Company, where his reliability and dedication were hallmarks of his career. Following his retirement, he turned his lifelong passion into a second act, owning and operating his own antique store for 20 years. To Oliver, antiquing wasn't just a business; it was a way to preserve the past and find beauty in the weathered and worn.Oliver loved the Lord with all his heart, and his life was a testament to his deep faith. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now in the presence of his Creator.

The family will receive friend at Pierce-Jefferson Lambeth Chapel, 300 W. Wendover Ave., Greensboro, N.C., on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 5 pm to 7 pm. Yesterday

Oliver was a wonderful man. I got to know him through my cousin Brenda and my mom and dad, Faye and Jimmy Osborne. My parents were Brenda´s aunt and uncle. They were dear friends of Oliver and thought the world of him. I remember all four of them loved to go down to our beach house on Topsail Island. They often met at Hardees in Greensboro for coffee and a biscuit. Now all four of them are buried together at Lakeview. I am sure Oliver is rejoicing with them as I type this message. May peace and comfort surround the hearts of all Oliver´s family and friends.

Dad,
Thank you for being my father. You were a great dad and mentor. You always were a good supporter and provider whenever I was growing up. I will remember you for the rest of my life and I will see you again whenever it is my time.

Love
Mike
