Our Olivia
What do i say about a person that lit up the room when she entered it what do I say about a light that barely started burning before it was extinguish what do I say about someone who would love without expecting anything in return someone who fire and ice sugar and spice and everything in between.
A girl who could conquer the world with a smile or a glance. With the most beautiful eyes that God ever gave a human. Someone who had so much promise and potential! Who graduated one year and two months earlier than her class, despite the adversity she faced along the way. Someone with hopes and dreams for the bright future she was looking forward to. Someone who was excited about life! Who excelled in everything she did, like completing a driving course that would take the average student 6 to 8 weeks to complete. Olivia did it in one and a half hours and got an A.
She was a little firecracker, a god-fearing Christian who loved everyone in spite of themselves. Olivia loved her family and her friends and learned to turn the other cheek and love her enemies. If someone needed help it would be Livi to the rescue. Always! Until her friends and family members were on their feet again, like true family members and friends should do for one another. She would say "Family should pick up the person who had fallen in life, not abandon them, or leave them behind." Olivia truly was a bright and shining star, but as the saying goes "The lord giveth and the lord taketh away."
Olivia will surely be missed by the people who genuinely loved her, her boyfriend and fiancé Cooper, her family including her brother Jeffery, her sister Rosanna, Elizabeth, Michael, James, her aunt and uncle Linda and Jeff, her nieces, and nephews Joseph, Sammy, Becca, aunt Jazmine, Zoe, Chase, all cousin-aunt Avyona. Besties including Jazmine and family, and her granny-mama Melinda and her grandpa-dad Luke, her aunt Teresa and uncle Ralph. All her friends from Los Molinos, Cali and around the world, she will be missed. Like her mama Jessica said before she died at age 29 of cancer "Every time someone dies there is a new star in the skies." How right she was.
So, when you look up at night on a cloudless sky, please say "hey" to Olivia and Jessica, and those loved ones who have passed into heaven and they will say "hey" back.
May you rest in peace, our little Livy. Watch out God, she is a little handful, as you already know. To be absent from the body is to be present with our lord. In Jesus's precious name, always. Amen. 11/13/07-01/15/25

Poem
Tracks of Memories

(Verse 1)
Seventeen summers, we were wild and free,
Late-night laughter, just you and me.
Running through the fields, chasing fireflies,
Now I´m standing here, staring at the skies.
The train took you that night,
Left us all behind,
But I still hear your voice,
In the whispers of the pines.
Every tear I cry,
Is just love in disguise,
You´re forever in my heart,
On these tracks of memories.
Sneaking into movies, popcorn fights,
Dreaming of the future under city lights.
You always said, "Life´s a crazy ride,"
We wish you were here, right by our sides.
The world feels colder, without your spark,
Every corner of this town, it´s a reminder of the dark.
But I hold onto the joy, the truth in your smile,
I´ll keep you alive, mile after mile.
So here´s to you, my friend, my light,
In every sunset, in every starry night.
You´re a part of me now, can´t let you go,
On these tracks of memories, we´ll always glow.
