Ollie B (Overby) Curry of Junction, Texas had her heavenly homegoing on April 19, 2025, in San Angelo, Texas at the age of 92.
Ollie was born on November 13, 1932, in Moro, Texas to O. B. Overby and Jeanie (Saunders) Overby. She married Clifton R. Curry on September 16, 1948, in Lenora, Texas. They shared 75 years together before his passing in 2023.
Ollie was known to most as a no nonsense, get it done, country lady, but she was far more than that to those who knew her best. She was our loving, faithful, and always giving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother! Her quilts that she passed on to each generation were carefully stitched with love and received with great anticipation and joy. Ollie loved her Lord and served Him faithfully behind the scenes. She never wanted recognition or praise, because for her the reward was in the giving.
Ollie is preceded in death by her parents, O. B. and Jeanie Overby. Her husband Clifton R. Curry and daughters Carolyn, Evelyn, and Wanda. Nine sisters: Alice, Neoma, Pearl, Reba, Minnie Mae, Aneta, Thelma, Betty, and Joyce. Five brothers: Burnice, Lee, Herbert, Louis, and Billy.
Ollie is survived by two sons: Rodger Curry and wife Nancy of Roswell, New Mexico, and John Curry and wife Lynn of Eden, Texas. Thirteen grandchildren; Twenty-six great-grandchildren (another on the way), and Four great-great-grandchildren (another on the way).
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Friday April 25, at Old Runnels Cemetery, in Ballinger, Texas.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Brayden Park Assisted Living staff for providing "Miss Ollie" a home away from home. Instead of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the Kimble County Rural Fire Department, or a Church of your choice.
