Mrs. Ollie Johnson Shelfer, of Havana, FL passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024 at First Commerce Center for Compassionate Care at TMH, surrounded by her family.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 19, 2024 at First Baptist Church Havana. The family will receive friends from 4 till 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel. A private family interment will follow the service at Concord Cemetery, with Dr. Eric Erskine officiating the service. Faith Funeral Home & Crematory in Havana is in charge of arrangements (850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com).
Mrs. Ollie was born April 20, 1935 in Calvary, GA the daughter of the late Thomas A. Johnson and the late Curley Mobley Johnson. Mrs. Ollie was a lifelong resident of Havana. She was a member of First Baptist Church Havana. She was the bookkeeper at May Nursery in Havana for more than forty years. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family. Family events often were over the top with fun and laughter. She loved family time (especially) with family at Emerald Crest. We must add, that she absolutely loved and enjoyed mowing grass!
She is survived by her children Billy Shelfer, Butch Shelfer (wife Vicki), Joy Shelfer, and Angel Shelfer Seymour (husband Darren) all of Havana, FL. Two grandsons Logan Seymour and Landon Seymour (wife Lauren) and great-grandson Dallas. Step grandchildren Theresa and William; Step great-grandchildren Amanda and Collin; Step great-great grandchildren Sophie and Honey.
She is preceded in death by her husband William Clarence Shelfer, Sr., Her daughter-in-law Linda Shelfer; also by her sisters and brothers Edwin Johnson, Carry Johnson, Joyce Dolan and Earl Johnson.
