Ollie Starr

Ollie Mary Starr "Leeiat", 73, of Auburn, WA entered into rest on Sunday, February 22, 2026.

Ollie was born in Goldendale, WA on October 17, 1952 to Columbus Beavert Sr and Florence Jeannette Aleck Beavert. Ollie was an enrolled member of the Yakama Nation and grew up with family in the Goldendale/Wapato area. In December 1972 Ollie married Martin "Bear" Starr and they made their home in Enumclaw/Auburn area

Ollie's employment included her working at Taco Time, Skippers, Muckleshoot Indian Tribe Recreation Department and Muckleshoot Indian Bingo. During her employment at Bingo she worked her way up from Bingo Bonanza Clerk to Floor Clerk to Bingo Floor Manager.

Ollie's hobbies and enjoyment of life included listening to music, watching tik-tok videos, attending pow wows, going to dances, watching the Mariners, playing softball and playing bingo and spending time with family and friends.

Ollie is survived by her daughters - Sandra Starr, Florence Starr, Mary Starr, Leona Starr, Natalie Rodrigues and Tara Sheldon; sons – Russell Rodrigues, Ken Gophor, and Isaac Elkins; sister Carol Beavert; brothers – Columbus Beavert, Alec Beavert, Michael Beavert and Joseph Beavert; aunt Anna (Sonny) Johns. She is also survived by her grandchildren – Xavier (Khyrsten), Charles, Whitney, Jacob, LaShawna, Resa (Maceo), Carl (Megan), Leslie (Inzo), Westin, Lyena, Michael and Corey; great grandchildren – Ruben, DaShaunte, LaWin, Roman, Sakari, Laila, Suzanne, Aubrey, Sylas, Masyn and Kyler and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Ollie was preceded in death by her husband Martin "Bear" Starr, brother Charlie Beavert, sister Wilma Hall; aunts Naomi Frieda Skahan, Emma Lewis, Ezilda Aleck and Pauline Aleck, uncles David Aleck, Dunbar John, Charlie John and Arlie Cook and grandparents Nelson Sahmootum and Ollie Winnier Aleck.

Private dressing services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 2pm at Weeks Funeral Home in Buckley, WA. At 3pm, family will move to Muckleshoot Indian Shaker Church for Candlelight Service, Public Viewing, and Wake. On Thursday, February 26, 2026 family will depart Muckleshoot Indian Shaker Church at 8:30am for Toppenish Community Center in Toppenish, WA. Upon arrival to Toppenish Community Center, Washat Services and Final Viewing will take place. Open Denomination and Candlelight Service will be held at 7pm with Washat Services to follow. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 8am at Toppenish Community Center. Interment will be at Toweatmy Cemetery in Toppenish, WA.
