Olyntho E. "Lee" Ramirez, 92 of Munster, IN passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Ruth; loving father of Tony (Libby) Ramirez, Chuck (Robin) Ramirez, Elizabeth Ramirez, David (Colleen) Ramirez, and Mary (Timothy) McGuire; cherished grandfather of Michael, Christopher, Lisa, Carson, Ryan, Darryl Jr, Sarah, and Craig; devoted great-grandfather of Mila, Emma, Reese, Riley, Amelia, and Xander; fond brother of Richard (Diane) Ramirez. He was preceded in death by his loving son, Michael.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 3 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Friday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday March 28, 2025 at 10 a.m., at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN.
Lee was a graduate of Frobel High School Class of 1950. He proudly served in Korea with the U.S. Army. Lee attended Ball State University and Indian University Northwest. He was employed at U.S. Steel for 35 years and at the Lake County Auditor's office for 10 years. www.kishfuneralhome.net

On the normal when someone passes away their passing is emorallized in our memories and soon evaporate in the sands of time. Being the present, today those of us that knew Lee are somewhat amazed at his ability to remember the past and in doing so awakening our memories to travel in that time line and enjoy conversation. He was a gentlemen and a scholar and will be missed.
