Omar Bernardo Diaz Marquez, 49 of Chihuahua, Mexico was born on June 9, 1976, in Chihuahua, Mexico to Mateo Diaz and Damiana Marquez. Omar looked upon the face of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Fort Morgan, Colorado.
Omar married Patricia Hilburn at Wheeler, Texas. Together they spent many wonderful years of marriage together.
Omar worked in the Oil and Gas Industry as a Pipeline Foreman for twenty plus years, traveling to various states where work was needed. Omar was known to help anyone in need and was a great mentor and boss. He left an impact on people's lives everywhere he went.
Omar enjoyed being with his family, friends, and co-workers having cookouts and listening to music. He will always be remembered as a free spirit by all who knew and loved him, Omar will be deeply missed and greatly remembered.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev. Mandagiri Balaswamy will officiate. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Cherishing his memory is his mother, Damiana Marquez of Chihuahua, Mexico; his wife, Patricia Diaz of Clinton, Oklahoma; one son, Endi Diaz of Elk City, Oklahoma; five brothers, Carlos Diaz of Elk City, Oklahoma, Alejandro Diaz and wife, Mathy of Chihuahua, Mexico, Jose Diaz and wife, Melissa of Hobbs, New Mexico, Luis Diaz of Chihuahua, Mexico, Cesar Diaz of Elk City, Oklahoma; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Omar is preceded in death by his father, Mateo Diaz.
