Omar Samaniego Luján, age 88, passed away on February 22, 2024 in Monahans, Tx. He was born on February 10, 1936 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua Mexico to Ildefonzo and Maria Luján.
Omar was also known as El Cenizo to his closest friends, Welo Már to his grandkids. He was a certified mechanic and he worked at Brantley Trucking for many years. Retired doing what he loves at his son’s trucking company ‘Luján Trucking’ He enjoyed cooking, hanging out, sitting outside in his lawn chair with his arms and legs crossed, and watching his LA Dodgers. Loved spending time with his grandkids and watching them grow. Wherever he would be he would draw a crowd around him with his funny past life stories. He will be truly missed.
Omar was preceded in death by his son Luis Cuauhtemoc Ibarra (Chore) of Ft. Worth, Tx.
Omar leaves behind his wife, Maria Elena Luján of Monahans, Tx, Son, Victor Manuel Ibarra of Ojinaga, Chihuahua Mexico, Daughter-in-Law, Rachel Ibarra of Ft. Worth, Texas, Son, Oswaldo R. Luján of Kermit, Tx, Son, Omar R. Luján and spouse Sonia Ortega of Odessa, Tx.
Grandkids; Maria Victoria Ibarra, Victor Ibarra Jr., Yesenia Hernandez, Jesus Manuel Ibarra, Anna Maria Ibarra-Armenta and husband Temo Armenta, Isabel and husband Omar Varela, Jose Luis and wife Nancy Ibarra, Stacie Ibarra and spouse Jacqueline Chavez, Sasha Mireya and husband Brandon Meneses, Oswald A. Luján Jr. and wife Sarah Luján, Omega Luján, Iris Syana Luján, Oswald B. Luján, Omar B. Luján lll and spouse Caitlyn Cadena, and Jasmyn Nevaeh Luján.
