Onofrio Fred, 86, of New Milford, CT, formerly of Upper Saddle River and Paramus, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023. Before retiring, Fred was a senior partner with Kipnis & Karchmer in NYC. He was a former parishioner of RC Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River and Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church in Paramus. Fred was a past president of the Rockland Country Golf Club, a member of the Paramus Elks, Knights of Columbus in Brooklyn, and a member of the Carlson Ridge HOA. He enjoyed long drives in the country and his winters at Riverwood in Florida. Fred loved spending time with his family and enjoyed bowling and a good round of golf. Fred was a Navy veteran who served our country proudly.
Cherished husband of 66 years to Frances (nee LaSala). Beloved father of Anthony DiPilla and his wife Andrea, MaryAnn Bravo and her husband Charles, Deborah Anastos, and Rose Jaretsky and her husband Todd. Treasured grandfather of Lauren Simon, Fred and Michael DiPilla, Nicholas, Nolan and Amy Bravo,Nicole Jaretsky, and great-grandchildren Mason, Palmer, Tony, and Juliette. Dear brother of Marie Ann Cirillo and Matthew DiPilla. Predeceased by his sister, Vita Yonkers.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday November 12, 2023 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am on Monday November 13, 2023, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church 234 N. Farview Avenue Paramus. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Onofrio 's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
