Ora Elizabeth "Liz" Estes Mincey

Ora Elizabeth "Liz" Estes Mincey, age 79, of Sweetwater, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at her home. She was a member of the Fair View Baptist Tabernacle Church of Sweetwater. Liz was known as a hairdresser, worked at Archers Family Pharmacy and in the apparel department of Wal-Mart in Sweetwater. She is preceded in death by her parents: William Edgar "W.E." and Mary Helen Estes Jr., brothers and sister-in-law: Doug Estes, Joe and Betty Jo Estes, sister: Kay Hatton, sisters-in-law: Mildred "Millie" Estes, and Phyllis Denton.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years: Ron Mincey, daughter and son-in-law: Nina Kay and Randal Lynn, grandchildren: Anthony Ronald Mizer, Matthew B. Mincey, all of Sweetwater. Brothers and sister-in-law: Eddie Estes, Jerry and Robbin Estes of Athens. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M. in Kyker's Chapel with Pastor Jason Robinson officiating. Family and friends will meet at Corinth Cemetery in Loudon at 10:45 A.M. on Friday for an interment at 11:00A.M. interment.
