Ora Faye Potts

Ora Faye Potts, 94, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on February 5, 1929, to the late Byrd and Sarah Turner in Verda, Kentucky. Faye was very independent, outgoing and even a little feisty at times. She was very loving and cared deeply for her family and friends. Faye was very dedicated to the Lord, and was a proud member of the Beechmont Baptist Church and their Women's Club for many years. In her spare time, Faye loved to travel, sing, dance, and just generally have a good time. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Byrd and Sarah Middleton Turner, Faye is preceded in death by her loving husband, Matthew Potts; daughter, Margaret "Maggie" Boyer; and 2 sisters, Verda Jo Painter, and Margaret Turner.
Left to cherish her memory, Faye leaves behind 2 grandsons, Joseph Boyer (Jacqueline), and Jacob Boyer; 3 great grandchildren, Jaxon Boyer, Jinger Boyer, and Tristen Boyer; and a host of extended family and close friends.
A funeral service for Mrs. Ora Faye Potts will be held at 3 PM, on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Legacy Funeral Center – Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Blvd., Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 1 PM to 3 PM, on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery will take place on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 12:30 PM.
