Ora Elmer Stollings, 98 of Chapmanville, WV, entered into his heavenly home on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at his residence.

He was born October 18, 1927 in Switzer, WV, the son of the late Floyd and Nancy Carter Stollings.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Delsie Stollings, his 2nd wife, Minnie Hull Stollings, his children, Danny Joe (Tammie), Jerry and Terry, and his siblings, Odessa (Veno), Geneva (Orville), Ethel (Elmer), Thelma, Kermit (Phyllis), Ron (Damsel), Parker (Von) and Betty (Charles).

Elmer loved the Lord with all his heart. He loved to visit and pray for people. Elmer was a member of the Wheatly Branch House of Prayer. He worked for the railroad and was a coal miner. Elmer was the owner and operator of Elmer's House Moving and Co-Owner of the Heavy-Quip House Moving for over 50 years. His house moving legacy can be seen throughout WV, KY, OH and PA. One of his favorite stories was when he promised a concerned customer he could move his house without spilling a glass of water. When the customer checked, no spillage had occurred.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Lillian (Steve) Campbell, Sherry (Donald) Kerns, Patty (Sam) Garrett and Nancy Jane (Darrell) Frye; twelve grandchildren, Charles (Sherry), Charlotte (Jeff), Leeanna (Terry), Rick (Beth), Crystal (Billie), Sarah (Charles), Susan, Shayna (Joe), Keith (Sarah), Austin (Shelbee), Ginger and Sarrah (Beevare); twenty-one great grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis Ann (Carlos) Guerra; one brother-in-law, George Reagan; and his best friend, Lana Kennedy.

The family would like to thank his grandson Keith Damron who lived with him, for helping take care of Elmer.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Toler officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
