Walden Hardin "Pete" Frye

Walden Hardin "Pete" Frye, 52 of Ranger, WV, departed this life on November 13, 2025 at his residence.
He was born September 28, 1973 in West Hamlin, WV the son of Sharon Frye of Harts, WV and the late Luster Frye.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oder & Pearl Porter Shelton and Woodrow & Ada Amburgey Frye, special uncle, Clifford Shelton, uncle, Robert "Bob" Shelton, special cousin, SaraBeth Shelton and his special friend, Wandall Parker.
Pete enjoyed spending time hunting, and fishing, most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and playing with his great niece and great nephew, Kimber and Ranger.
In addition to his mother, Sharon those left to cherish his memory include his fiancé, Jennifer Holland and her daughter Brooklynn Turley both of Ranger; one sister, Angela (Jerry) Porter of Harts; two brothers, Jarrod (Keri) Frye of Ashland City, TN and Jason (Heather) Frye of Ranger; special uncle, Sam Frye of Madison; special friend, Shawn Watts of Harts; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other family and friends.
Services will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, November 17, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Jimmy Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Browning Cemetery, Harts, WV.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 17, 2025 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jarrod Frye, Jason Frye, Ryan Porter, Jeremy Porter, Jerry Porter, Tyler Sutphin and Shawn Watts.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
