Ora Dwayne Wright was born on March 07, 1941, in Shamrock OK, to Woodrow and Kevia (Howe) Wright. He grew up in Cushing OK, where he attended school at Happy Valley. He worked with his uncle Ab Wright and learned how to work in sheet metal, eventually becoming member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association, achieving over 25 years of continuous good standing service. Working for a total of over 40 years in the industry.

Dwayne had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with family. He loved quail hunting with his bird dog, Blondie, later in life, he bought a Harley Davidson motorcycle and formed a small group of friends who would travel around the state.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Kevia, and by his brother, Carl Wade, his sisters Geraldine Green and Patsy Morvant.

Dwayne Married Barbara K. Stephens on November 21, 1959. They had three children, Monica (Brent) Hale, Jeffrey (Karla) Wright and Shellisa Reinert.

He is survived by his sister, Doramae Gullett (Lloyd), children Monica Hale, Jeffrey Wright and Shellisa Reinert, grandchildren, Jessica Hale, Joshua Wright, Adam Hale, Ryan Wright, Cory Wright, Alex Wright, Lexie Heenan and Cheyenne Gray; greatgrandchildren, Katrina, Skylar, Gabe, Alafair, Nolan, Milo, Henry, Rosie, Layla, and Archie who will carry on his memory.

Dwayne will be remembered for his love of simple pleasures, and the lasting impact he had on those who knew and loved him, Dwayne had a rich sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dwayne passed from this life at home on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the age of 84. Honorary pall bearers will be Joshua Wright, Adam Hale, Ryan Wright, Cory Wright, Alex Wright and Ethan Gray.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A Celebration of Dwayne's life will be held at 1:00 pm. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing, OK. A viewing will be held Monday, February 9th from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Palmer Marler Chapel.
