Oreline Gedward Obituary
Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery (Francis Loop) Saint Martinville, LA.
Visitation hours will be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Thursday, November 9, 2023, beginning at 8:00 A.M. until the time of the service. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 A.M.
Oreline was a native and resident of Saint Martinville, LA. She passed at 11:07 A.M. on Tuesday at her residence.
She leaves to cherish her memory, five nieces she reared as her own children: Tammy Valsin, Carla Faye Valsin, Ashley Valsin, Shantell Valsin- Quinney (Mark), Kyndal Lindon and Brittnay Thompson all of Saint Martinville, LA; a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Arthur Gedward, Sr., and Eunida Mallery Gedward; four brothers: Leroy Gedward, Robert Gedward, Lincoln Gedward, Sr. and Arthur Gedward, Jr; three sisters: Mary Ann Valsin, Mary Ruby Kerlegan, and Thelma Smith.
Active Pallbearers are Jamaal Parker, Devin Broussard, Chance Quinney, Brandon Benjamin, Deiondre Benjamin, and Courtney Dugas.
Honorary Pallbearers are Mark Quinney, Carl Francis.
