Orlandez Lawrence “Troy” Pierre, Sr., age 63, entered peacefully into eternal rest at his residence on Saturday, November 22, 2025. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Orlandez was a proud 1980 graduate of L. B. Landry High School. He attend Southern University Baton Rouge, where he was a member of the “Human Jukebox” Marching Band. Troy was employed for over 35 years with Jefferson Parish Transit (Transdev Inc.) as a dispatch manager. He was a dedicated member and longtime Vice President of Jugs Social Club, Inc., as well as Parade Captain of the Krewe of NOMTOC. Beloved husband of Richelle Donaldson-Pierre. Devoted father of Orlandez L. Pierre, Jr., Jada M. Pierre, Trivez T. Pierre, and Angel L. Irizarry III. Doting grandfather of Chad and Jakai. Son of the late Ernest J. Pierre, Sr. and Leola DeVore Harris; stepson of the late Cleo F. Harrison. Loving brother of Toya Harrison, Kimberli Harrison, Trevor (Kisha) Borden, Valerie Simmons, Angela Pierre, Karen Pierre, Janet Pierre, Ernest Pierre, Jr. (Annette), Alicia (Jeffery) Oliver, Burton (Deisa) Pierre, Nicole Pierre, Pamela (Leon) Brown, and the late Barbara and Janice Pierre. Troy is also survived by his grand pup Boogie, and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends whose lives were touched by his presence. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members Shiloh Baptist Church of Gretna and all neighboring churches; alumni of L. B. Landry High School; members of Jugs Social Club, Inc. and Krewe of NOMTOC; employees of Jefferson Transit and RTA are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at L. B. Landry High School Auditorium, 1200 L. B. Landry Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 10:00a.m. Bishop Cheryl McBride Brown, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time. Interment: Will Be Private.
