Orlin Silverman

Age 91 of St. Louis Park, passed away on November 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his daughters, Wendy Sigel and Julie Silverman (Brett Weinberg); son-in-law Todd Axel; siblings, Eunice Burk, Jim Kaplan, Rob Gepner-Mueller (Zoana) and Connie Woodworth; his grandchildren, Sophie and Hannah Sigel, Andrew and Evan Weinberg, and Wyatt Axel; and many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy; daughter, Cheri Axel; parents, Sam and Blanche Silverman; his mother and father-in-law, Marion and John Gepner; and siblings, Bob Burk and Greg Gepner. Born and raised in North Minneapolis, Orlin was a graduate of the University of Minnesota and had a successful career as co-owner of Hellers Market with dear friend Stuart Yellen. Orlin was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving honorably in Korea. What was most important to Orlin was his beloved family. The patriarch of a large family across multiple generations, Orlin was active in the lives of many as Dad, Grandpa, Brother and Uncle. There was no greater cheerleader, offering unwavering support and advice, bursting with pride along the way. He will be remembered by all for his loving demeanor and important role in the lives of his loved ones.
