Orville "Orv" L. Kamin, 91 formerly of Menominee passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the Cottages. He was born on May 19, 1934, to the late Edwin and Anna (Jasch) Kamin in Marinette and graduated Marinette High School in 1953. Shortly after, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years. On February 14, 1959, Orv married Dorothy Schneider at Trinity Lutheran Church. He had lived in Menominee, Porterfield and the past 3 years, 10 months he resided at the Cottages in Marinette. He worked many years at Enstrom Helicopter and DeCrane in Peshtigo. Orv loved to work keeping up his yard, making crafts and furniture for his family. He also enjoyed camping and time with his children. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Orv is survived by is wife of 66 years and 10 months, Dorothy Kamin; son, Steven Kamin; daughter, Sharon (Dan) Rickaby; grandchildren, Jeremy (Sonya) and Tony (Katie); great grandchildren, Adian and Sialis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Loyd and Ralph; sisters, Helen and Evelyn; mother and father in law, Arnold and Helen Schneider; brother in laws, Donald and Richard.
Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette on Saturday, October 18th from 11am-1pm. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm with Rev. Christine Olson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Cottages who took wonderful care of him; also, to Dr Jessica and Asia, his Compassus nurse, and Lakeland Care representatives, Jasch and Emily.
